Best long-lasting induction pan set to buy with a good budget

I love cooking and all my life used a mishmash of pans, none I love. Decided to treat myself to a set that I will love using, that work well for induction (last one I bought was supposedly compatible but barely got warm enough to scramble eggs never mind cook flatbreads!).

I keep seeing Stellar and Hexclad mentioned. Please advise - what should I buy? Must work for induction. I have a good budget saved up!

I bought mine from Pro-cook. I didn't buy a set as I live alone and don't need lots of pans, so bought just the ones I wanted.
I am very happy with them. Still like new after almost five years.
Also you can get frying pans and milk pans with lids from them which I like.

I love my hexclad pans.

Look at Samuel Groves.

Hi - can I ask, do you cook with induction?

We got ours from Nisbetts. Catering quality and a good price.

I highly recommend Fissler Original-profi stainless steel. I have 7 saucepans and pots, which are at least 15 years old and still look pretty much perfect.

Only used on induction

Came here to say this. We have a couple of the stainless steel pans (no non stick coating because I don’t like it). They are excellent. Good weight and cook nicely.

We have Hexclad. If you go for these do remember you need to set your induction hob to a lower temperature as the pans are very heat effective.

I have John Lewis own brand. Like new and 25 years old! I had them for my previous non induction hob and now with induction because they are compliant. Not expensive and they are great. Non stick - bigger issue. Green Pan milk saucepan has chipped around the top but works well. Tefal ok. My non stick frying pan from them is fine. My more expensive one from Le Crueset isn’t!

DeafLeppard · 31/03/2026 09:15

We have Le Creuset Tri-ply stainless for more than 20 years, and still immaculate. They get a lot of use. We also had the nonstick milk pan that we've only just replaced - I've never had a non-stick last 20 years!

Fiddlesticks1 · 31/03/2026 09:15

Love my tefal ingenio set. Have the stainless steel ones. Great space saving.

Liondoesntsleepatnight · 31/03/2026 09:17

Neff - had them 10 years, used for induction hob

Hi. Just seen this. We have a gas hob but they definitely also work on induction.

That’s interesting. The last pan I bought that said it was induction compatible and even on top heat it barely worked. Thank you!

I've had this Stellar 1000 Classic 9 Piece Set S1F2 | Harts of Stur set for around 20 years and its still good as new and used daily, still clean and sparkly, the odd dent from my spectacular misuse but working perfectly, all except the non-stick pan which I have replaced. My mum has the same set and has had hers for even longer than me probably 30 years. Love them. I currently have halogen hideous, but used them for 10 years on induction which i miss and 6 years on gas which was fine as well. Mum has only used on induction I think.

To compliment it I buy non-stick frying pans and woks whenever i need them as they never seem to last no matter how high the quality is supposed to be and a couple of le cruset casseroles for hob to oven cooking. My mum has the casseroles that match this set in a couple of different sizes and she loves them. Much lighter to use than le cruset.

Stellar here too. I could say I wouldn't buy anything else, but the reality is they'll outlast me, so I won't ever be buying new pans!

golddiamond · 02/04/2026 11:15

Le Creuset here. And it makes food taste better.
