I need advice from you pram geeks re a M&P Pliko!

I refuse to buy new as its my third and FINAL baby

I'm confused about P3, pramette etc etc

What I want is this:-

A pliko that I can fit a carrycot bit to (or have laying flat and facing me IYKWIM )

I also want to be able to put a car seat on there.

There seems to be lots of different type of pliko the top one on this listing looks reasonable - will it do the job

What should I be looking out for?

thanks in advance (misdee, where are you?!)

get a pramette. less faffing thant he carrycot.

how much are you looking at spending?

also look at the silvercross 3d, there is a seller on there who often has the 3d pramettes for £100 or there abouts.

MamaG · 17/06/2008 19:59

Thats a very good point cargirl, I didn't think of that

so the pramette would be more practical, space wise wouldn't it

CarGirl · 17/06/2008 19:59

Yes the Mypod shell is rigid.

babyjjbaby · 17/06/2008 19:59

yeh the mypod is hard like the navetta but not as good as the navetta ifkwim not so deep for using as a moses basket and i don't think u can get a mattress for it

babyjjbaby · 17/06/2008 20:00

but if u get a mypod liner for a normal p3 then it is pretty much the same as the pramett no hard shell as u can use just the liner

misdee · 17/06/2008 20:00

this one

silvercross version basically the asme thing but a bit sturdier IMO

CarGirl · 17/06/2008 20:01

Or you can use the mypod liner on a modern p3 so it works like the pramette.

Here is a good ebay listing to show that

another one

misdee · 17/06/2008 20:03

my favourite pattern

you know this isnt doing my pram habit any good

CarGirl · 17/06/2008 20:03

someone from an independent shop said they had loads of 3Ds returned due to the folding mechanism failing after a few months use.

MamaG · 17/06/2008 20:04

I liked this - its still available coudl I use it just with a mypod liner and not the hard shell? I could collect too, whichi s a bonus

PLEASE NOTE! IF I DISAPPEAR I'M SORRY FOR BEING RUDE, I'LL BE HIDING PRAMTALK FROM DH!

misdee · 17/06/2008 20:04

never knew that about the 3d cargirl. could explain the ones that appear on ebay though, as i thin kthey are refurbs.

MamaG · 17/06/2008 20:06

sorry for feeding your habit misdee

OP posts:
misdee · 17/06/2008 20:06

you could use it with a my pod liner mamag, then you wont have an apron for it.

these seller ship to uk, then add a liner for £30-40

they have better colours than us [sulks]

babyjjbaby · 17/06/2008 20:07

mamag yes u can use just the liner with that as long as it has the reversible hood u wouldn't get the matching colour but u could get a grey or summit

babyjjbaby · 17/06/2008 20:07

yeh the mypod liner has the apron built in lol

misdee · 17/06/2008 20:08

didnt know that jj

i waaaaaaaaaant

MamaG · 17/06/2008 20:10

ok last Q i prmoise

if I buy this

and this

will they be compatible?

OP posts:
CarGirl · 17/06/2008 20:10

The ebay auction I put on here is the same as you linked to - P3 with liner in spice starting bid £50, £20 postage

babyjjbaby · 17/06/2008 20:10

oh thats luvly i have got the new style pramette in cityscape and love it smoother to push than the old style one but a bit bigger

misdee · 17/06/2008 20:11

think so mamag.

MamaG · 17/06/2008 20:11

misdee, when you are looking at foreign pram sites, you've got a problem

OP posts:
babyjjbaby · 17/06/2008 20:11

yep thats compatible and then u have the chose to use it as a cot or just a liner
