Westfields Shepherd’s Bush

Not sure if this is the right place for this but couldn’t see any better place to post. For my sins I have promised to take DD to westfields shopping centre at Shepherd’s Bush tomorrow (Fri). I would prefer to get the train but it’s so bloody expensive I’ve decided to drive and park there which seems pretty reasonable when compared to the cost of the train.

has anyone parked there and what was it like? Any tips gratefully received. I was considering going super early to miss the worst of the traffic but annoyingly the shops don’t open until 10am. I’m generally dreading it so any wise words would be gratefully received!

I park there regularly for work. The shops don’t open until 10 but if you can get in before that the car park is usually quiet and lots of the cafes are open from 9, so you can grab a coffee and plan out your day before things get crazy.

Primark opens at 9 and actually M&S was a few weeks ago but that may have been a Christmas thing. Coffee shops open. Definitely get there early. It’s quite pleasant until about midday…
Carpark B is best otherwise you have to go up a never ending spiral ramp and then can be miles away from the lifts.

Awesome, thanks both for the advice. I will make DD get up at the crack of dawn and hopefully that way she will be knackered and want to come home early afternoon! Wish me luck x

If she wants to go to Sephora get in there for 10…then hotfoot it to Subdued. Anywhere else will be manageable. It’s really not too bad even at half term! ( and half the West London teens will be skiing😀)

Parking there is simple, I visit fairly regularly and never had an issue with not being able to find a spot. Just make sure you take note of which aisle you park in and what floor it is and then crucially which lift lobby (it will be a number) you use to get to the shops. That way, it's super easy to retrace your way back to your car. When I first started using the car park, I did lose my car and struggle to find it and now I do the above instead.

All the "teen" shops are thankfully in one area, so you don't actually need to trawl over the whole centre. ie if you look to see where Pull and Bear is, all the others your daughter will be interested in will be there.

John Lewis has a nice cafe and is relatively calm!!

CrOuChEnDTiGr · 19/02/2026 22:41

I use it regularly for same reason, trains are extortionate and cheaper to drive and park if more than 1 person’s n travelling! Not sure where you are approaching from…
I always approach from M4 onto A4, through Hammersmith,I don’t go over the flyover, take the left through Shepherds Bush, I then follow signs for valet parking, you pass all the usual parking areas, cab rank is in front of you as you enter but take the sharp left to valet, follow it around into the right and you are in normal parking via valet and there are always plenty of spaces here…I think I pop up through lobby 2 maybe 3 but can always find my way back really easy and it’s super easy to exit too!

Parking is very easy, just make a note of where you park - I usually take a pic on my phone - as it is a nightmare if you forget 😂

I got there for 9am last year not realising the shops weren’t open but like others have said there are lots of coffee shops where you can chill!

Ive always loved days with my mum there - started as a teen spending my birthday money and more recently we’ve been there for some baby shopping before my little boy was born. Hope you enjoy!

I remember taking my daughter there about 3 years ago, I’d only been once before. It was the Feb half term after the first Christmas where white fox was a ‘thing’ it was full of tweens in white fox, leggings and one of about 3 types of trainer / Ugg boots. We joked she was in her spiritual home.

Agree Sephora gets very busy, not been in Subdued there but been to one in London and queues were huge.

DominoLover51 · 20/02/2026 08:52

@snowymarblesI refer to Westfield as my spiritual home. I cannot tell you the context cause it could be outing, but I joked that maybe I could have my ashes scattered there. I’m 51 and don’t live that near to it unfortunately

namechangeahead · 20/02/2026 09:15

I’m quite fancying going today now - if only to escape my family at home!
OP- let us know how you get on!

Comefromaway · 20/02/2026 09:20

Dd went to drama school nearby and we often parked there on visits, spent a couple of hours there and then sometimes took the tube into central London from there.

Parking was never a problem.

ikeepforgetting · 20/02/2026 09:20

Coincidentally I’m here early, having a quiet latte in ole and steen. It’s perfect timing, so quiet and will hopefully get what I need done in an hour! Have a good day OP

MsBertieBoo · 23/02/2026 14:11

Thanks for all your messages. As an update - we got there super early (8.30!) and then had a chill and some breakfast. It was really manageable in terms of crowds until lunchtime when it got noticeably busier but still ok. We left about 4.30, exhausted but happy and managed to find the car no problem at all. She had an absolutely brilliant time and I have definately earned some brownie points. Subdued is now her new favourite shop. I would definately drive it again as it was pretty smooth going and much cheaper than the train. Parking is a bit of a bargain. x
