40th birthday gift

My close friend turns 40 next month. Does anyone have ideas for gifts that have been particularly well received?

Budget: £50-£100

About her: spring colouring, size 10-12 with big boobs, mum to a toddler, not really a reader, very sensitive skin so no cosmetics. Loves chocolate but I always get her chocolate!

It’s still chocolate, but something like https://cocoarunners.com/event/in-person-craft-chocolate-tasting/ or https://cocoarunners.com/event/virtual-craft-chocolate-tasting/ depending on where she lives?

Thanks I like that idea - she's in the west country but there may be something similar near her

Not really a gift idea, more like an addition, but if you've been friends for many years and have plenty of photos of her and both of you together, you can make a birthday slideshow with them and email it to her in the morning. Here are some more ideas for a video like that, but just throwing together the pictures and a song she particularly likes would be so nice already.

Again, a chocolate-based suggestion, you can get her a chocolate subscription box where gets a surprise box every month. Look into something like https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/review/best-chocolate-subscriptions-and-clubs
If she doesn't plan on changing her address anytime soon, could be a great idea.

Is the dad of the toddler around? If so I would do something together rather than buy something. At our age (also approaching 40) we can generally buy anything we want/need but time is precious.

Is there something she would be interested in doing? Kayaking, art class, wine tasting, theme park, spa day etc etc

My dream gift (similar age) would be a massage or reflexology voucher whilst someone looked after the children. Not sure if that’s feasible?!

Thanks all! A complicating factor is that she doesn't like to be away from the toddler for very long, I think a couple of hours would be her limit. I had looked at getting her a massage voucher at her nearest Pig hotel but I think it would take too long with the drive as it is about an hour from her, unless her dh and toddler also went along.

Since cosmetics are out with her sensitive skin, a really thoughtful option in that budget would be a nice spa or massage experience she can actually use as a proper excuse to have time to herself as a mum to a toddler, because that kind of guilt free alone time tends to mean more than any physical gift at that stage of life.
