Wheelybug - big or little?

Further to me other thread, it seems the Wheelybug is the most popular choice. So, which size to buy?

It is a gift for my godson-to-be for his Christening. He will be 8 months at the time of the Christening, but want to buy soemthing to last him a little while, and that is hard wearing and will stand the test of time.

So, would you go for the large or small size?

And which design is a favourite?

my mum just bought dd the small one for her first birthday. My niece (3yo) still rattles around on her small one. The big one seems quite big and it would probably be a while before your godson could use it (unless he has really long legs !)

meep · 13/06/2008 20:36

oh - we have the mouse but if I had a boy I would have gone for the cow!

Sparkletastic · 13/06/2008 20:37

Large ladybird has done us proud. Both DDs (ages 5 and 2) love it, as do all visiting kids. DD1 used it from about 1st birthday as she is tall and walked early, DD2 grew into it towards her 2nd birthday. Nice looking toy, looks good as new despite being used outside on a regular basis. Great choice!

He is still really tiny at the monent; just started crawling.

Small, and the cow is soooo cute!

fairy15 · 13/06/2008 21:02

i'd go for small also. ds1 has the bee although i liked the cow but had to let dh make at least one choice so he still thinks he wears the trouseres!

CarGirl · 13/06/2008 21:02

When you say tiny, do you mean he is small for his age? My average height dd has use a large one since she was 18 months old to sit on.

hana · 13/06/2008 21:06

small
I bought the large one for my then 15 month old and she can just about touch the floor now, she's almost 2 now. He'll get years out of it. fab present

Hulababy · 13/06/2008 21:06

I think he is below average in term so fweight/length st present , but not 100% sure. But she seems so little and tiny to me (my DD is 6y now so hard to remember, lol)

Am thinking small might be best for now

We have the small ladybird. I can't see my daughter growing out of it for a long time yet and she is 21 months old. She's probably slightly below average height. I like the ladybird and the bee best.

BirdyArms · 13/06/2008 21:33

We have the small bee, I like the ladybird too. I think small is fine - dh 5'11" has been known to ride it round the kitchen so I reckon the ds's will be using for a while.

Hulababy · 16/06/2008 20:50

Have ordered the small bee; thanks all
