NCT Nearly New Sale - up to what age sells well?

Doing first sale this weekend. I have absolutely stacks of stuff from newborn through to 5 to sell, however I'm just wondering if it's worth taking stuff for 2,3,4 year olds to sell. Are people looking just for baby stuff or also for older?

We went to one when my dd was over 1.
There was hardly anything left!

just did one, baby things sells well especially if you can put a stack of vests together etc. I found winter coats sells well too. Any plastic toy goes like sweet cakes (but be warned people want to pay almost nothing so don't be precious and overprice). The other things that goes are equipment, moses baskets, stair gates and things like booster seats and high chairs.

Thanks for that, but do clothes, toys etc for older children ie 2,3,4 sell well too?

ages 2,3,4 sell well if it good condition. some of th stuff i have seen for this age range has been very well worn.

I would buy clothes for older kids but they usually aren't in good enough nick or are outdated (b/c they've already been through a few kids...) . books, games, puzzles are great.

There tends not to be so much in the older ages when i go, on the up side for you, if there isn't so much coice for buyers, they may be more likely to buy your items.

Ime (am on NCT committee):

  • toys will sell very well. All ages.
  • clothes will sell IF good condition, good brands & reasonably priced. Tbh, when people can buy a new t-shirt from Tesco for £1 or whatever, they tend to pick & choose with clothes. Defn worth pricing 'to sell'. I'd almost say clothes for toddlers sell better than newborn stuff (where people want new if pfb/get gifts etc.
-And make sure everything looks clean & ironed, really helps.
