Hello. Washing machine has broken down again
We ave domestic and general insurance which we have used A LOT. Its broken down again.

Happy to pay for a better machine with extended warranty

We need large capacity. Kids attend a school with no uniform (so a lot of washing). Husband is a builder so dusty and sweaty. Have pets and kids PE kits, sports kits and my clothes too. Work & gym!!!

Any recommendations please!

Happy Xmas eve!

LG is good mechanically, but for some reason mine has a cheap rubber smell which doesn't go away, just to let you know!

I usually go with Bosch, and wish i did again

For sensible prices, though not at all cheap, Siemens washing machines can't be beaten, imo.

Thanks. I currently have a BEKO Will look at Siemens. I saw a hisense are these good?

I just bought a Hisense. I’m so pleased with it I can’t tell you. It’s easy to use, quick and actually cleans

Rosesanddaffs · 24/12/2025 20:09

whatever you do, do not buy the Samsung add wash one, I’ve had nothing but issues with mine and all outside of the warranty!

The call out charge was £100, add wash door repair £130 and the damn thing is still leaking

It is rubbish at detecting the weight of the load and a 10 min spins ends up taking 20 mins

The rubber at the top holds water and leaks water randomly

My next machine will not be a smart machine

bosch all the way. mine even has an auto dessert for the washing liquid and fabric conditioner so it allocates what is needed each time. just fill up the thing every so often - made me realise I was using way too much 🙈

I very recently bought this 5S Series, 12 Kg Hisense washing machine. I really love it. Washes well and has auto dose which saves on washing liquid as I always overdid it! Can also interrupt wash to add socks etc

Recently bought an AEG, one of the base models, was on offer around 500, and dh managed to get an extra 50 off with some cashback scheme he’s got. Happy with it so far. Otherwise Hisense or haier are good value, have had a washing machine and dryer from them. Get an ‘inverter’ motor they’re much quieter.

Expensive but my Miele has lasted almost 20 years! At least 15 loads per week and it has never broken down once (famous last words!) it came with a 10 year guarantee which is why I bought it.
