Sorry, question from a first-time mum.

my daughter showed up 4 weeks early last tuesday and i am still figuring out how all the baby paraphenalia works.

i lost the instructions to my Fisher Price Microwave steriliser. Sure its easy but can anyone explain how i do it.

Thanks

Trudy

I had a FP one, but it was a couple of years ago so it might have been different. What exactly is confusing you?
I think it was 200ml of water you put in.

just never used one before . . .

so just pile the bottles, dummies etc in, pour in 200ml and microwave for how long?

do you have to wash in soapy water first?

sorry to be so dunce - but i am total novice-never dealt with babies first-timer and everything is panic stations right now!

thanks

The Avent one was 200ml water and 5mins for a 850w or above microwave.

Wash the bottles in soapy water first, rinse then pop in the steriliser. The bottles should be open end down i think.
I had the avent one too, so not sure if the fisher price is different.
Congratulations btw

Yep - it can all go in. Dh assures me it was 5 mins in the microwave. Don't put soap in the sterilizer first, and make sure it's all rinsed well first.
When it's done, leave the microwave door open for a while so it cools enough to bring it out. I used to stand the bottles and everything upsidedown on a clean tea towel until they were dry. A laborious task, but it's only for 6 months.
