yes the blankets are lovely!!

Yorky · 09/06/2008 20:34

For mothers day last year DH got me a kit to make casts of DSs hand and foot, it came with a deep frame which takes a photo as well.
I was so pleased with him, and everyon eadmires them.
Thats what I'm getting for DB and SIL in July when their 1st arrives.

SquiffyHock · 09/06/2008 20:58

Eenybeeny - I'm glad that you recommend those fingerprint gifts - I've just ordered cufflinks for Father's Day. Can't wait to see them!

Yorky - I had a cast done of DS done in the hospital - it's gorgeous. Tried to do it myself for DD (homebirth) and it was a disaster!! You are obviously far more talented than me

eenybeeny · 09/06/2008 21:32

I couldnt do a cast to save my life!

squiffy what is on the cufflinks??

Yorky · 09/06/2008 21:37

Squiffy, cufflinks arrived the other day for DH birthday, they have DS fingerprints and name on the front, and the date on the back.
I was so impressed by how clear the prints are, but I wasn't sure how well it would work on a tiny. Not cheap, but lovely

eenybeeny · 09/06/2008 21:41

can you link to a pic of them?

can you link to a pic of them?

SquiffyHock · 09/06/2008 22:53

here. I've ordered them with just the fingerprint, no name but a message on the back. Through the same website I've also ordered personalised Father's day cards with photos of the DC and their Daddy on them!

SquiffyHock · 09/06/2008 23:05

Sorry - I got confused earlier about who had linked to which website!!

eenybeeny · 10/06/2008 08:19

those are really lovely!!!

Funny story - I just looked at this thread and that link now at 8 a.m. but dreamt about your cufflinks last night!!!

Yorky · 10/06/2008 08:21

Don't like to say this but I paid £50 for mine DHs really aren't they!
from the site pastelprints.co.uk, choice of shapes, and a chunky style available if thats your mans thing
For cards I am in love with photobox who do personalised birthday/fathers day cards with a photo not just the wording up to you. The selection of designs for the front is a bit naff but I'm sure both my mum and DH will be delighted by the insides! Really handy if you call grandparents an unusual name too.

Yorky · 10/06/2008 08:36

Sorry pastelprint not printS
Will try and take a photo of mine later
Squiffy did you have to get the kids fingerprint yourself with a kit?

SquiffyHock · 10/06/2008 09:23

I'm waiting for the kit to come but yes, I have to take the prints.

here are the cards.

what about a Moby wrap?

My daughter is 2 weeks old and it is a god send - was surprised at how easy it was to use (insructions fab) took about 2 mins to put on the first time, now down to about 30 seconds - baby loves it - she just screamed for 40 mins for no apparent reason so put on wrap and popped her in and shes sound asleep - really comfortable for me and baby!! highly recommend it - been on dog walks (can even bend and pick up poo without her even moving!) doing washing up, hang washing on the line etc etc!!

xx
