3-in-1 parka; yay or nay?

I could really do with some advice about 3-in-1 jackets with detachable linings. They seem like a great idea but can you actually use one for multiple seasons?

For context, I live in Manchester but grew up on the south coast and struggle with the weather, even after a decade. I currently have a waterproof coat for each season; a v light seasalt one, a mid warmth waxed north face parka and a giant seasalt coat that was marketed as a duvet in a coat for the depths of winter.

They’re all v tired now, especially the parka, so I’m looking to replace at least the mid warmth one - could a 3-in-1 replace all of them? If so, has anyone got any recommendations? I’m a size 16-18 with a big bust so would ideally like one with a waist that could be drawn in and have a budget of about £200-£250.

I’ve been looking at this seasalt one but was worried my arms might be cold: https://www.seasaltcornwall.com/holdfast-waterproof-3-in-1-parka-coat

Please help!

Holdfast Waterproof 3 in 1 Parka

A two-part coat with three ways to wear. The parka outer is fully waterproof, and can be layered with the cosy borg gilet.

They're awful. The liner bit of the sleeve separates from the main sleeve every time you take it off and pull your arm out and it's a pain to put it back in.

Much better to have a winter coat and a summer coat. Wear a fleece underneath a coat if you need to.
