Crafting tools/gadgets and homework

Hello, I am trying to think of some bits to buy my daughter for Christmas. We have a Cricut machine and are getting loads of use out of it for homework now she has started high school, it has been great for her getting creative with presenting her work to a high standard.

I would love for some more ideas of any tools or gadgets that would be really useful for homework and projects, for example I have thought about getting a laminator (I know that doesn’t sound very exciting!).

If you want a gadget to end all gadgets consider a 3d printer. My nephew got the bambulab A1 mini for his 9th birthday and within 4 months I had bought my own , the slightly bigger A1. So simple to use add mega easy to set up. Its just amazing and really helps to build practical skills such as helping in learning CAD with blendr and other programs. You can follow simple tutorials to design your own stl file and then literally set it printed in front of you. My teenage daughter loves ours and is really helped her in her engineering T level.

If she is enjoying crafting in general, take a look at the Cinch. It is a binding machine for books. It means she could make her own notebooks for school.

Wow I don’t know where we would put that but I will look into it! What sort of things does it do that you find useful?

We use ours for fund raising at craft fairs. Wet produce kids toys, models and ornaments for our free community Christmas meals run from our church. But it has SO many practical uses. My sister was in work and a costumer came in and complained that her handle in the lawnmower broke a week out of warranty and she couldn’t afford to replace it. She got the model number and my sister 3d printed a handle for her. I mashed my own storage boxes, personalised gift tags that double as key rings, fan art, plant pots, and you can design ANYTHING that you heart desires as long as it can fit on your printing bed. This is a photo of the table we had last time, everything was printed by myself and my nephews age 9 and’s 13 and we raised £100 in 3 hours for Christmas meals.
