Swimming cap / headband?

Hi :)
I love swimming but have very weak hair :( I’ve just read about putting headband under cap, anyone tried that? Or maybe some of wise women found some ultimate cap which will keep hair dry and actually stay on the head? Most or random caps from Amazon just slide off my head within 10 min of swimming :(

I’m afraid no cap will keep your hair completely dry; they’re not meant to, they only offer some protection and keep your hair out of your eyes/off your face. I swim with a silicone cap and even that doesn’t keep my hair completely dry.

I’m sure I’ve read somewhere about a headband + cap, but haven’t done it myself. Hopefully someone can advise.

Any change from completely wet would be good ;)

I have hairloss through androgenetic alopecia. I wear this when I swim to keep my hair in place. It’s extremely comfortable unlike the silicone ones and most importantly it doesn’t tear my hair out. It doesn’t keep my hair dry but also it’s not soaking wet when I finish. Not sure it’s what you’re looking for but wanted to share

Thanks will have a look! :)

i just read that actually to protect hair you should make them wet before so it’s more to keep chlorine away I guess

Yes. You should thoroughly wet your hair before getting in. That way, it can’t absorb much more water, therefore it absorbs much less chlorinated water than if you went in dry. That and a good hat should make a bit of a difference.
