Is this sofa gorgeous or horrid?

I am crazy about this sofa, but can't decide whether it is because it's a beautiful sofa, or because it is very different an un-beige, and therefore will hate it in 6 months!

Ours are sash windows too. They're re-painting the outside of the building next week so maybe there could be a collaboration between the sofa people and the scaffolding men?

that might work, but I reckon you'd have to call in your largest friends to help that day. I can't imagine the sofa delivery people being willing to carry it up some scaffolding

Ha ha neither do I-and we'd have to get it back out again when we move-urgh! It's the only one I really like and I've been looking for months-why does it have to be the only one without removable everythings!!

Is comfiest sofa in teh world, due to the deep seats. The low arms are great, mean you can lie on it like a daybed or indeed, a bed. Mine's over six feet long.

Feelingbetterslowly · 22/05/2008 14:31

He he yp-anything is better than the one we have at the moment! After all that I think I'll have to go with the one that fits through the door anyway (wuss woman not attempting through window expedition!) They did say I could put brass castors on the other one though-although it was not recommended, but I can still do it, hurrah!!

Mmm vivace, am desperate for a sofa that both dd and I can fit on together-we're not that fat I promise-the one we have now is a 1 1/2 seater horrid thing made of god only knows what with buttons in the back and wings on the sides-god it's awful!

yes, low arms are good, I have lots of cushions on as well if I want to lean on something

NappiesGalore · 22/05/2008 14:42

i like it a lot too.
and the jackon one (the one that fits) is v. nice too... tres good for slobby lounging i think.

NappiesGalore · 22/05/2008 14:43

tho the silvery silky blue fabric is gorgeous, not sure how long it would stay that way with dc about... raspberry sounds much more durable.

Rosylily · 22/05/2008 14:43

Yes it is beautifull and a damn shame it won't fit through the door. aww.

Feelingbetterslowly · 22/05/2008 15:07

Have decided to do silky blue jackson-it's nearly the same as super sexy sofa, and has the edge of actually fitting through the door! My dd is a little bit, um, tidy shall we say (to the point where I am getting a little worried-she even lines paint brushes up in order of which to use first!) so I don't need to worry about the fabric now potty training is a distant (though still quite vivid) memory. Although stickers are a menace at the mo-found some in my knickers this morning!! (I'd laid my clothes out last night!)

However, have just thought that when they're older they do the whole "stuff yourself till you're sick" when they have sleepovers and stuff, argh! Maybe raspberry is a better choie! xxx
