Has anyone tried the new Grobag duvet that zips onto the sheet?

Has anyone tried one of these new Grobag first duvet sets? Would you recommend?

My girls have grown out of their grobags sleeping bags and I was wondering if it was worth getting a duvet set, rather than a whole new set of bags (am buying for twins so makes it expensive). I like the idea that the duvet stays put and doesn't go over their head. Wondering if they are worth the extra cost over a normal duvet? They are still in cotbeds but starting to climb over so I presume we will have to convert to beds shortly (they are 2).

Bumping because I'm also looking at them! I wish they did single bed size as IMO they'd be better value for money. Would also like plain white. (Demanding? Moi?!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/05/2008 07:59

Sniffy - it says they do do a single bed size.

I looked at these when moving dd1 form cot to bed as I was worried about her losing her balnkets (it was the middle of winter). She was 3.4, so i wasn't worried so much about blankets over head etc.

In the end I decided against, but that is because dd1 is ASD and I though she would find it difficult to learn how to get in/out (doesn't understand zips) especially in the middle of the night.

I ended up using fleecy sleepsuits with a vest underneath, and a blanket. She mostly kicked the blanket off going to sleep, but I just puled it back over her on my way to bed. THis worked ofr us.

I've got one!! . They are good but the duvet slips down under the cover a bit. Made th transition to toddler bed far easier than I first thought! They didn't have the monkey one in the right size though so I had to get the rocket one.

I have one and at first I thought it was no better than an ordinary duvet cover, but if you leave just one side zipped up it stops the whole thing falling off in the night. The other great thing is the pillow never moves cause it is stuck to the bed.

Looks brill and was ready to buy until I saw the price - I know we get a 10% discount but still £45 for one duvet set is too much for my budget

SniffyHock · 22/05/2008 08:58

cantsleep - just shows it was really because i don't like the patterns!

glamourbadger · 22/05/2008 14:25

cheers all!

GordontheGopher - doesn't the duvet attach to the duvet cover with poppers to stop it slipping down? This is one thing that attracted me to it.

They are expensive but I would be willing to pay the extra if it ensured a significantly better night's sleep (for me!). My girls move around the cot a lot at night and I was hoping this would help keep them under the covers?

Ooh not sure about those poppers. Will investigate!

Nappyzoneneedsanewname · 22/05/2008 19:06

I saw them at a nursery show and was very impressed - i want to stock them infact but they are pricey. I will defo be getting one for when my boy is ready for his bed....
