Affordable jewellery brands for marking a special occasion but affordable

Hi there,

I’d like to buy a nice piece of jewelleryfor myself ahead of my daughter’s christening. I like the idea that I could get wear out of it but then pass it on to her in years to come. But I’m on somewhat of a budget, so looking for absolute max spend of £150 for something special. Can anyone recommend jewellery brands to have a look at. Also open to vintage sites but again budget friendly!

Thanks so much in advance!

Doh - sorry for the terrible thread title with affordable twice! No idea how to change!

Hi, have a look at a site called Clogau, it's Welsh gold and silver. Some really nice pieces at reasonable prices. I've had a necklace and my Sister had a ring, both lovely and a little bit unusual.
I'm thinking of getting something for each of my Granddaughters as a gift for when I'm 'gone'. 🤣

Another vote for Clogau. I think they supply the wedding rings for the royals. I’ve had things for under £150/200 there

I’ve had some nice items from Honey Willow in Bath (and online).

Sheila Fleet has some beautiful jewellery in that price range - the daisies and swallows are lovely - or Alison Moore, in Orkney, makes gorgeous semi-precious ring stacks that you can personalise by using birth month stones. (I would put links, but that seems to post pictures now?)

Not a huge range of items but I got a lovely necklace from Livetta. I think it's a small business run by two sisters.

Oooh they are nice!

I’ve just bought a birthstone necklace and matching bracelet and had some earrings thrown in for free when I signed up to Monica Vinader. It all came to £150. You could get them in your DC’s birthstone and then pass them on when they are older? A bit corny I know, but quite sweet.

Bianca Jones Jewellery
