Vision Express have Barbie ones in pink and purple. They also have a large range of other styles in pink ... in fact, I was in there sorting out new glasses for dd last week and it was really hard to find any girls' styles in there which weren't pink!

Most opticians stock glasses for children, and most glasses for girls come in pink - you need to go and have a browse and see what you fancy.

specsavers have good range too

thanks was the customer service ok. she is a bit nervous about the whole glasses thing as her eyes are still blurry and dilated from the test yesterday.

my dd has just got her 1st pair from specsavers but she's just 3 and petite (unlike her mum) and the only 1's that weren't too big were mr tickle ones which are dark bronze colour.

Have to say I was a bit gutted that she couldn't get more girly ones but she seems to like them and this morning she's had them on and I must admit she does look cute in them bless her.

Specsavers to Miss naughty etc which come in different colours and barbie, not sure of any others. Asda seems to have a good range as well but I was told specsavers do a better service.

What did they do to her eyes to make them blurry and dilated? Poor soul.

Vision Express customer services has been fabulous. They mucked up her first set but have put it right and have been nothing but courteous, helpful and considerate all the way through. They have different sizes in most of the frames too, so you are bound to find some which fit well.

I have only ever had bad experiences with SpecSavers ...

she had to have eye drops to dilate the pupils, they make you vision blurry. she was ok about this but i keep on having to hold her hand so she doesnt walk into things. should go back to normal today

hi wwb

WigWamBam · 17/05/2008 14:52

Hi DG

Dd has worn glasses for a couple of years, but luckily she's never had to have anything done with eyedrops. I'd never get her near the place if she thought she was going to have to have drops put in.

Hope you find her something nice, JT.

Another vote for specsavers- loads of choice. They have a really great service for repairs and losses. Usually mended or replaced free of charge.

WigWamBam · 17/05/2008 14:58

Children's glasses should always be mended, repaired or replaced free of charge wherever you go. Check with whoever you go to, though, that they will do so. And if they don't, or if they try to sell you insurance to cover them, go elsewhere.

thanks for all the advice
