What's the lowest you would be happy parting with each item for? Make a note of that (say, I dunno, 50p for a power ranger figure?) Then double it and put that price on. Because people will haggle with you: everyone at a car boot sale wants stuff incredibyly cheaply, so you should price higher than you actually want to give yourself room to go down if you see what I mean.

everything a £1

ssd · 17/05/2008 11:05

thanks, I hate haggling, but I'll remember to raise the prices a bit

maybe £1.50 for most things, how does that sound?

I am not a car boot expert, but I hate looking at stalls where everything is just dumped. I would put all the games etc. together. I also hate asking prices so you could have a sign like "All games £4 each or 3 for £10." People will always haggle, or you can reduce your prices later in the day.

power rangers stuff I would think is about £1 each, books you could group into boxes labelled 50p, £1 etc depending on what you want for them.

We normally pay 20p-50p each on children's books and board games about £2 (there have been lots of deals at the supermarkets recently lowering some board games to about £7-£8).

Power rangers are no longer current so hard to know what to ask for them, tough one. The sword and blaster will probably sell anyway to a little boy as those sorts of toys are pretty universal.

Power Rangers are THE in thing with my ds and his friends. Our local toyshop are full of them! I would say £2 each or 2 for £3/3.50. I paid £6 for 4 on Ebay recently.

heated, your post made me smile!

power rangers are massive for boys of a certain age, they sold before anything else
