My 41/2 ds is desperate for a pair, wouldn't be my choice but he never asks for anything and they would be useful for the beach.

The problem is he is 101/2 and his twin is 81/2 so would fit an 11/13 Croc size his brother 10/11. They are kind of in between Croc sizes iykwim. I want to buy the genuine ones as they're supposed to be anti-sweat(knowing my son he'll live in them),more comfortable etc.

Those of you with kids who have had them before did you ever get the bigger size and was that ok-worried about tripping over in them etc???

Please advise just can't get my head round all this sizing malarky.

They come up quite big

DD never trips up in hers

stripeymama · 13/05/2008 18:53

Take them to try them on!

FWIW, dd had some (cheap fake ones) last year that were too big and still fit now, and they didn't trip her up.

tassisssss · 13/05/2008 18:58

i see you want the real thing so feel free to ignore this, but my 2 both have cheapo versions, are both half sizes and both have the size smaller.

the next ones are particularly big

asda have them in a cracking brown colour that'd be fab for 4.5 year old.

i figure they must be comfy as my 2'd complain if not!

mymblemummy · 14/05/2008 01:44

I bought my daughter Crocs half a size smaller than her foot measurement because they seemed so big.

She seems fine in them and the larger sized pair did look as though they would fall off her.

I didn't buy the copies because I didn't think they would be as comfortable, and, lets face it, comfort is the whole point of Crocs.

alipiggie · 14/05/2008 04:27

Crocs sell cool versions over here (Colorado the land of the Croc). There are flipflops with a backstrap to keep them on. I would recommend buying the smaller size. I've actually emailed Crocs and asked them to do the inbetween sizes. You never know.

Don't forget the Jibbitz too.

BexieID · 14/05/2008 04:40

How much are the proper crocs for kids? Am debating whether to get 2yo Tom a pair.

seeker · 14/05/2008 04:47

Don't be conned into buying the real thing - the fakes are JUST as good. We've had both.

BexieID · 14/05/2008 04:52

Where do you get the fakes in half sizes?

I have a pair of the Skecher type ones myself. Does seem a waste of money buying Tom proper ones for him to outgrow. It's bad enough him only wearing his Clarks shoes for a few weeks!

MilaMae · 14/05/2008 09:52

Confused now. Anybody know the difference between the fake and real ones????

Really don't know what to do re sizing-bloody things!!!!!!!!!!!

kids crocs are £15 in office at mo

BexieID · 14/05/2008 16:16

I just got some fake ones for £2.99. Tom likes taking his shoes off, so probably best only spending that much on that type of shoe. I can also see how he is wearing them as well. He had a pair of size 7 baseball boots on and that size in the croc style, looked massive, so I got a 6. I think he is actually a 6.5. I'll try them on him later.

bozza · 14/05/2008 16:29

The crocs I have looked at have come in double sizes eg 8 to 9 which I have bought DD today (birthday present as she has plenty of shoes but been begging) and she is a 8.5

its quite bonkers that crocs are 20 quid when they dont do the full range of sizes

woolies do the fakes for 1.50 by the way!

hippipotami · 14/05/2008 16:51

Dd is a size 10. Last year I bought her the 10 - 11 size. They were big but did not fall off. This year the 10 - 11 crocs still fit her perfectly and comfortably, even though she is a shoe size 11 now

Fennel · 14/05/2008 16:52

Are the Jibbitz the things you stick into them? Where do you get them? dds have crocs but want the bits.

BexieID · 14/05/2008 17:01

My Woolies do the fakes for £4! You can get the Jibbitz on ebay. Wouldn't they be irritating though? Maybe I should treat myself to some for my waterbugs.

newgirl · 14/05/2008 18:06

how weird - the ones in our woolies werent reduced as far as i can see but i did think they were ridiculously cheap - perhaps they price them according to the wealth of the local area!

BexieID · 14/05/2008 18:53

Was it a big Woolies? Ours is a Woolies local, lol.

Wheelybug · 14/05/2008 19:00

DD has just been measured a clarks 7 so I have bought her real ones in a 6-7. However, they're not going to last long as she is right up on the toe end when she walks in them (kicks self for not getting bigger size)....

newgirl · 14/05/2008 19:25

fairly big i guess!

dizzydixies · 14/05/2008 19:27

sweetfeetshoes

PosieParker · 14/05/2008 19:28
