Is it worth going to Poundland?

My partner has recently lost his job so we are looking to save money wherever. I get most toiletries from B&M and Home Bargains is where I go for stuff the kids need for school. I usually use Asda or Aldi for food. People keep mentioning Poundland - that they do kids clothes and are really cheap, but I don't have one near me. I'm happy to get the bus to it, but it is worth it? What could I get at Poundland that's better or different to B&Ms etc?

If you have a big branch with a large clothes section then it's good.
Very similar in style and price to Primark but on a much smaller scale.
The household products/food is pretty much the same as B+M and Home Bargains.
Not that much difference to be honest.

Try your charity ships for kids clothes - we often get Next, JoJo, Joules etc for 50p-£3

I find Poundland to be more expensive than the likes of B & M. We go for the picknmix as there is one next door to the cinema.

Poundland is usually more expensive per weight of items.

If you have a Savers near you they are good for toiletries and household cleaning stuff.
