DD's school, like many others, is not prepared to apply suncream during the day. Can someone please recommend a high-factor cream that will be effective for 10+ hours?

Amazonian, my GP routinely offers E45 Factor 50 suncream to all children on prescription. You march back in to your doctor and tell him he is part of an ageist post-code lottery!

The high TiO2 sunscreens are horrible to apply though. The product viscosity has to be very high in order to suspend the particles.

A five year old shouldn't have any trouble putting ordinary sunscreen on their arms and faces. If anything, they will put on too much!

We use PizBuin too and it's fab. For ds2 though who has extra-sensitive skin we use UltraSun - is nice to apply though a bit pricier.
