hunting for a thread I saw a while ago about clocks for early risers - anyone remember please?

I have done some searches but cant find the particular thread that i'm looking for. It mentioned the bunny clock but also mentioned a clock where you could set times and it would show a dark area and a light area. The idea being if the hand was on the dark area then the child knew it was still too early to get up but if the hand was on the light area it was okay. I found a thread that mentioned a similar clock but it wasn't the one I'm after.

Any ideas??

TIA

Yes, we have a bunny clock - you put it to sleep (it shuts its eyes and its ears droop!) and then at a set time it opens its eyes and perks up its ears.

Instruction to child - "if bunny clock is sleeping, you go back to sleep/stay in bed".

It's not a miracle cure, but it definitely helped us. Dd2 was a 5.30am riser and gradually she's pushed it out to 6.30am, sometimes even later.

You can sometimes pick them up on ebay more cheaply than new.

Do you mean this thread?. Because Cod's link no longer works but she might be able to tell you the name.

I think I might have posted on that thread. We have the dark and light clock which shows a bunny in bed and up and about. It wasn't a success when we first used it but I think that ds1 was too young - he was just 2 - he seemed to wake up in the middle of the night, see the clock, think 'oh that means I have to stay in bed, oh I'll get up', and caused a getting up in the night problem rather than curing early rising! I am thinking of trying it again though - he's just out of nappies at night and seems to be waking early becuase he needs the loo but then wakes everyone else.

Or do you mean this?

thanks for all the replies.
I don't think it was the Cod thread as that is quite old and I dont remember ever seeing it before (so I guess I should say "it's definitely not the Cod one" ).

I dont think though that it's the Amamzon one either (I want it to be walll mounted so definitely not mains operated) but that was the only one I could find when i did my search. I don't want the bunny clock (but thanks for the link Pidge) as we have one and DD knows how to work it to her advantage!

I'll keep hunting.
