Which paddling pool should we buy ?

Ds & Dd are 5.5 & 2.3 years old do we get a little 6ft basic pool or do we get a pack like this one here ?

If it has a filter does that mean any grass or bits that go in it will be filtered out so it will keep clean? then all we have to do is put the cover on over night & get some cleaning fluid stuff to put in the water? How often do you actually have to vchange the water in them? is it worth it for there ages?

Any advice welcome?

Hi we have that pool without the filterdirect.tesco.com/q/R.200-0592.aspx
We usually empty it every 2-3 days, this will be its 3rd year out and we love it,we have a plain garden slide we put in the pool to slide in.
A couple of bad points it does take a good hour or so to fill but we have the greenest grass in the area by the end of the summer and it attracts all the kids from far and wide.
And it's big enough for us adults to get in.

What age are your children? it sounds quite good then.

would it be ok for a 2.3 & 5.5 year old? obviously we would not fill it right up!

SD, IME the filters on these pools are not up to much as they need to be on a lot to keep up with things, they have to be turned off when youare in the pool etc.

With chemicals you need to think about dissposal of the water, you shouldn't let the water out into a normal drain and if you let it out on your garden it will kill everything .

I did the whole filter all night use chemicals etc for 2 summers but still had to empty and refill regularly (cue dead boraders and grass). I then did a plain water summer, I had to refill wvery 2/3 days and the kids loved dipping buckets to water the flowers and using the hosepipe (attached to the emptying pool) to clean bikes etc etc. This year is very much a plain water year for me

Thankyou, you have now made my mind up i am just going to buy a normal pool & forget the filter & chemicals, we have 2 baby bunnies who hop round the garden & i don't want anything to happen to them.

Maybe when the kids are bigger & we also may have a bigger garden by then
