does anyone have wooden window shutters: the fitted, rigid type?

I am thinking of getting some fixed shutters in my windows, bay and normal windows.
I don't have a shop locally that does them so I googled on window shuttters and about 3000 firms came up.
Has anyone had them fitted? Who would you recommend? Any pitfalls?
Advice welcomed!

A friend of mine got her's from Hilarys Blinds - they are lovely and I want them!! Wait for the sale though.

I had some made from plywood for my Georgian townhouse.
Really lovely and pretty cheap actually.

I've had other stuff from Hillary's, but definitely wouldn't recommend them.

We got our wooden shutters from Shutterly Fabulous, and they are!

We also had some plywood/MDF shutters made by Hilarys for our bedroom - they look really lovely and we're delighted with them. The 'salesman' was also the installer and did a great job. We're in the South East, close to Eastbourne, btw.
