Hi all,
Any advice would be appreciated. Pre pregnancy I was never skinny but a 12-14 and was fairly happy with how I looked. My stomach wasn’t toned bet fairly flat and my issue areas have always been my thighs.
I wear dresses quite a lot to accentuate my waist and skim thighs.. Since having my baby my stomach post c section is horrible I have the ‘Apron’ and I can’t even get knickers to fit nicely :( big ones are better but little ones just disappear under the overhang and I just hate that feeling, especially when they roll down unexpectedly!!!

I now have a very active 10 month old so dresses are not practical and I feel I look awful in jeans with the big lumpy belly, I’ve tried hold in knickers and somehow that just smooths the area but makes it more pronounced? Any advice on trousers or jeans and underwear that help, I like leggings for activities but don’t want to live in them as I’d like to look a bit more polished day to day

Please help

Hi, same issue here, it took a couple of years to resolve and go back to almost normal I just wore the jeans/ jeggings I wore during early pregnancy, the type with a stretchy waist a size or two up from pre-pregnancy size with jumpers which were at hip level (so lower than waist to hid that bit). For dealing with the c-section tummy, bodies worked well for me as this avoids the pant line and riding up and down issues and is much more comfortable. Make sure if you get some that you find some with the popper type crotch otherwise you'll have to undress every time you need a wee! Oh and you can get some lovely bodies in velvet so you feel a bit more dressed up (even if you sling a jumper over it).

Thank you ❤️ Do you recommend a brand for bodies.? Did your overhang get better with time? I’m just feeling a bit miserable atm so thank you for your help xx

Hi, I use Marks and Spencers.https://www.marksandspencer.com/l/lingerie/bodies

Avoid the lacy ones as they'll just itch and drive you mad! The seamless ones are the best I find.

Also, ignore the unhelpful picture below, it's just the first body on the list on their website. It's not the one you need at the moment.

The light control ones are a good option for support but not too tight or itchy on the waist but take your pick.https://www.marksandspencer.com/light-control-seamless-shaping-body/p/clp60526021?color=BLACK#intid=pidpg2pip16g4r4c4

Also, size up one size gives you a bit more room without being baggy.
