CDS (Range) , Toys R Us, Early Learning Centre, somewhere else?

The Range = Devon store I think.

I got some from Argos for £2.69 - if you lived in Hertfordshire I still have a spare bag unused in the car you could have

belgo · 03/05/2008 12:21

look in your local DIY shops.

Flame17 · 03/05/2008 12:21

Tescos ~ £1.57 a bag.
Don't know prices anywhere else.

windygalestoday · 03/05/2008 12:28

if you go to tesco at the end of the summer sales the sand is reduced madly-last year it was reduced to 50p for a huge bag!!! it had been £3.99 so we bought loads ready for this year and other years.

Dragonbutter · 03/05/2008 12:39

Try the garden centres. Not sure if they're much cheaper but saves a trip into town and parking.
As i see you are Devon, try Endsleigh just off the A38, I think that's where we got it.

Pavlovthecat · 03/05/2008 12:43

Thanks for offer fairy, am in Devon tho .

I shall try tescos, that sounds like the cheapest.

popsycal · 03/05/2008 14:54

tesco

expatinscotland · 03/05/2008 14:55

well, erm, it's right across the street.

i already go and take teh driftwood and bring it to the neighbours who are a bit elderly.

and we collect seaglass and pottery that washes up.

piratecat · 03/05/2008 14:57

my mum and her dh live in spain and this iwnter they went round loads of skips, salvaging chests of drawers etc, to put in the wood burner!!

FrannyandZooey · 03/05/2008 14:57

we found B+Q very cheap

expatinscotland · 03/05/2008 14:59

around here, the neighbours come and ask round before the skips arrive if anyone would like to take something to burn before it gets chucked.

if someone hires a skip, you approach them and ask if you go pitch stuff in for a few bob.

we had a fried flymo and the neighbour kindly saved our loading it in our car and driving it to eht community skip, as he had one coming to do some remodelling on his house.

Pavlovthecat · 03/05/2008 15:14

We need it right now, so will go spend a few quid on it.

However, this weekend, when we go to Wembury or such like, I shall remember to take a bin to put some in! Especially as they charge £4.00 for parking!

OP posts:
Dragonbutter · 03/05/2008 18:34

you can be bothered with the walk we park around the last T-junction before the parking turn-off. might be tricky with children and buckets of sand though.
i will be looking out at lee mill how exciting!

Pavlovthecat · 04/05/2008 18:19

Dragon - at Wembury you mean, for parking? I think I know where you mean. We have a kayak too, so it might be a bit of a pain, but we dont always take it.

Getting NT membership anyway, so wont have to pay for much longer!
