Please someone help me! The instructions say to 'press' the studs on, but they just WONT press on. Its driving me mad (in case you cant tell!) - anyone done this recently?

Seem to remember protecting them with a piece of wood and hammering them on - very hard! Press on my ar*e!

Yes hammer required. For the first ones I put the stud on the floor with the wheel on top and then banged the end of the axle (you could do this without a hammer by pushing down on the axle), but the others went on with a couple of bangs of the hammer (very therapeutic when you have been wrestling with the thing for an hour).

Right, a new dawn, a new day, I am going to resume my mission (DH off on a stag do which is making me even more cross about the damn thing!). Yes, millierocks, stupid piece of wood called a 'tool' (which is in fact the word I would use to describe the person who invented it). Wish me luck....!!!

Done em! With a hammer, following your technique dingalongcow. Thanks ladies! (cant get the screws all the way in on the handle, but can wait for dh to do the finishing touches, gotta pick your battles and all that!).
