How inconvenient is it NOT having carry handles on bouncy chair???

Grrrr ... thought I had made my decision after weeks of procrastination. Was about to order the Baby Bjorn bouncy seats when I started to think about the no-carry handles aspect. Our old M&P chair had carry handles and I used it a lot to carry baby from one room to the other and sometimes upstairs etc. I can see it being a bit of a PITA not having handles, esp with two babies to move around, but someone please tell me it's not that bad .

TIA

We had a v ancient baby bouncer (second hand, but originally mothercare I think) with no handles and it was fine.

I just used to pick it up by the frame to carry it - it never occurred to me to want handles!

Thanks theyoungvisiter ... just what I wanted to hear!!

I have one w/o handles and it works OK. Either carry the baby first and then the chair, or both together. It's more awkward but can be done (just walk slowly so you can feel your way and not trip up).

I wouldn't trust the handles on a bouncy chair TBH. Are they not designed to move the empty chair around?

same as theyoungvisiter

i never trusted the handles - always carried by lifting the frame

Ours didn't have handles and I don't think I would have used them to carry the chair anyway unless DS wasn't in it. If I needed to move him in it I'd just hold the frame.

Ours had handles but also a massive safety notice telling you not to use them to carry baby! Don't think they are designed to be strong enough.

Oooooh ... had the Baby Bjorn chairs in basket with 15% off through Blooming Marvellous when DH said he doesn't like the black and would prefer a more babyish chair so it's back to the drawing board. So ... for now the handles aren't even an issue. Know what you mean about safety of them - as DH reminded me, we only used them to carry seat a few inches off floor when moving from room to room. Still, I see it being okay not to have them. Looks like a trip to the shops is on the cards. Thanks anyway!!
