My son is complaining of cold legs.Does anyone have this problem with their childs legs? Can you buy thermal underwear for children anywhere?has anyone found any really thick trousers?Even though his trousers look quite thick enough to me he says they're not,I'm thinking about making him some fleecy bits to strap over them while we go out if I can't find any really warm pairs.

My Sister had long johns for her ds's, not sure where she got them. Have you tried Damart? Or, just a thought, Ski wear/underwear?!

How old is ds? When ds1 was 1-2yr I used to put him in tights to keep his legs warm. I've since found some fleece lined trousers in the Mini Boden catalogue. They're really snuggly and certainly get no complaints of cold legs!

Star, either La Redoute or Vertbaudet (I can't remember which, sorry....) do Rhovyl long-johns and long-sleeved vests for children. They also have fleecy trousers and body-warmers, all reasonably priced. The good old French and their winter sportswear! Ds is sporting an anorak with a detachable fleece lining which makes him look like a Weeble (he's only three) but he hasn't complained of feeling cold since we bought it, and we do a lot of hanging around at bus stops in the dark (waiting for buses in case you were wondering).

We got kids thermal underwear for littlies in Matalan, but that was a while back and no idea what their stock would be like now. GLTC Clothes for Kids do skiwear, they might have underwear.

Phew just back from town checking out the long johns situation.M and S all sold out of thermal long johns.Got some lovely lined thick trousers for school from gymboree sale. Will still order the thermal undies from that company you found Batey.Only need a couple as dh thinks he will be laughed at at school for wearing them there.didn't have energy to check out h and m.It's a start thanks v much everyone.
Marina so glad you explained about the bus stops
I WANT TO LIVE IN FRANCE.
And couldn't find any trousers on Boden, think he may be a bit old for them now, although the ones we bought in gymboree are a size 7 and they're huge-bit long really. Are they big sizes I wonder?
