Packing cubes set. Useful even in a backpack. Noise cancelling headphones or decent ear plugs and an eye mask.

Money.

I bought my DD a paperwhite kindle and an Airbnb voucher which she loved as it paid for a lovely luxurious hotel room mid travel as a break from cheaper accommodation

I was going to say packing cubes. Grin

Is it fairly hard travelling or poncing about SE Asia, where they have everything?

If hard; life straw or similar for dodgy water. Very light stuff like a Sea to Summit wash bag etc. Travel towel.

Easy; things I have found brilliant... laundry bag. With a good lining so you can just hand it to the people you pay for laundry. Polaroid camera. This one is amazing. Any kids, tour guides, local people you meet may not think it's polite to ask to take your picture. What normally happens is that you have pictures of the lovely person who showed you around Angkor Wat but they don't. A Polaroid means you can ask if they want a picture. And do a group shot. I wondered if people really wanted these but a couple of times people have shown that they really do. It's a weight but worth it.

Is it a girl or boy? Because certain things are a pain in some other countries. Bras in SE Asia for example, tampons in some parts of Africa,

Australia is on the list . The fines ? Is that a typo ?

Yes. Typo for flies. They try to enter your body via your eyes, ears and mouth.

How much of an Airbnb would be appreciated? It’s a gift for my niece
