Are you happy with the bugaboo bee. Have you bumped it up and down steps at all. Im just trying to work out if its sturdy enough. The video in the advert drives me crazy with all these stupid people dancing round with their pushchairs. Id rather see them outside going over some cobbles or trying to bump down/up some steps , cope with high kerbs or getting on and off public transport. Please tell me its tough and brilliant for all of this. And what about the brakes - do they catch on steps? Ido want to buy one but I also want to be sure before spending a fortune!!!

I really love the Bee. Have a cameleon too but got the Bee for travelling. We took it all over Malaysia , Singapore and Indonesia and found it brilliant. It's a compromise between a big travel system and a compact lightweight buggy.
We actually find it really sturdy and use it for our three year old and four month old.It takes a bit of getting used to to master the fold and unfold, you just have to be a bit more forceful than you imagine. I use it all the time now instead of the cameleon as it feels much zippier. I'd highly recommend the Bugaboo Bee.

Thanks you two for responding. Im impressed Sadiesmum that youve taken it on planes etc. YOur three year old must be fairly petite. My second ds 2 3/4 wouldnt fit into it although hes pretty tall. Dont worry I would be buying it for a newborn.
Sorry that you have had such probs scottish mum. I would guess that you were the unlucky recipient of a bad batch. Not a great advert for Bugaboo though and what a faff!!
Has anyone had to bump it or tried to bump it up and down steps - I have quite a lot to get up at my older ds's school and also up to our front door.
Sadies mum did you buy a baby nest and a footmuff. Do you need both? Thanks again

Hi Tab, It's pretty good up and down steps because the suspensions great but it's also quite easy to carry if you need to.
My three year old is huge! Admittedly she looks a bit squashed but actually she's quite comfortable and really likes being all cosy and private under the huge hood. Those flappy bits at the side make it look narrower than it is.I didn't get the baby nest as my youngest was so big, I thought it wouldn't last for long but just the footmuff is fine. I tend to take him out and pop him in a sling if I go on public transport as the fold is a bit tricky one handed so it's not ideal if you need to collapse it to get on buses etc but if you don't,it's quite narrow and easy to get on and off. It doesn't bother me, but the basket underneath is quite small if you need lots of room for shopping but that's the only potentially bad thing I could think of about the Bee. Obviously, everyone has different needs in a buggy but I've been really impressed so far.

Thanks Sadiesmum. I think I'll just bite the bullet now and go and buy one. Now the decision re colour!!
