Slim Fitting Children's Shoes

Help! My daughter has skinny feet a, D/E fitting.

I am really struggling to find summer shoes to fit her - she loves Lelli Kelly (she is 6!) and whilst their trainers fit well, their summer plimsolls are an H fitting, same goes with Geox trainers. Startrite can't offer any lightweight shoes and Clarks only have one style of Doodle in her size but the design is a little babyish. I will buy her some sandals later in the year, but right now I need a pair of lightweight plimsolls.

Does anyone know of any good websites/shops (I live in Manchester) that stock/specialize in narrow fittings?

Have you tried next.

DD1 (4.3) has c/d fitting and i find Next shoes are narrow and fit better then anyother make of shoe.

After having a fruitless search for school shoes for DD yesterday I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Its a nightmare isn't it?

(My DD is 8 yo and a D/E fitting)

i bought dd some clarks(the ones with the doll in the heel so should bode well with your dd too) and they brought me out an E fitting..we went for the F in the end but with an insole, so an E could work 'with the insole' which were free!

Have same problem with dd - the Next canvas baseball style boots are ok. Or look out for Ricosta, Richter and Umi brands. Tk maxx often do discounted European shoes , dd had a pair of Bopy boots from htere which are narrow

An independent shoe shop that stocks continental brands could be worth a look.

I got my skinny-footed girls sandals by Mod8 (a French brand) last summer because they were the only ones that fitted.

If all you want is a lightweight plimsoll type shoe for occasional wear, then either Next or Sainsbury's. My dd is a d/e fitting, and both of those brands fit her fine.

Boden shoes are v narrow

LIZS · 28/04/2008 20:31

This kind of thing

Gap are narrow too come to think of it.

another vote for mod8 (think there is a shop in oldham that sells them) I imported from the US tommy hilfiger "sydney" trainer/shoe because the last pair fitted so well - narrow foot, low arch. DD (7) is happy to know that the shoes are lined up in size in the cupboard, she doesn't care that she will be wearing the same forever because she can run in them without her heels slipping.
