Any recommendations? I'm thinking mainly baby/kids stuff, but household stuff too! I'll have limited time to explore....

Their fabric is cheap as chips and really good quality, if you have curtains etc to make.

Well I went today, and if you want to know what I got:

Towel rail

Toilet roll holder

something else for kitchen - I have forgotten what

All for less than £70

Hello all- Well, I would tell you what I got but unfortunately I failed at ikea.

We were trying to go to the Warrington one, my dp's phone has a satnav add-on thing which is normally great but has crashed so we had to do it dark ages style and actually consult a map (online of course, we don't do paper maps apparently)

My dp had written some cryptic instructions down about junctions and roads and stuff, I don't drive and I don't have a clue about that kind of thing so of course he had me interpreting his mysterious man code. Anyway to cut a long story short we got lost- Thoroughly, embarassingly, completely lost.

We were driving round Warrington for nigh on two hours, going over the same bridges, passing the same amusingly named hair salon etc at least three times, ending up in villages, doing u-turns... aaargh! WHY will men never let you stop and ask for directions?

We ended up giving up and going home as by the time we'd got there there would only have been half an hour before it shut and let's be honest, no-one gets round ikea in 30min!

Amazingly we didn't row about it, which is a miracle in itself. He's talking about going back next weekend (more to prove that he can find it than to look at funky furniture, I suspect!) not sure my nerves can take it actually!

where abouts were you travelling from?, i used to live 20mins from the warrington ikea so know the area.

the warrington one is a good one, the closest to me atm is nottingham which is smaller

Travelling from just beyond chester... we should have the satnav fixed soon. My dp is now saying we were on the right road, we just didn't go down it far enough.

We might go to the manchester one next time it's literally a mile down the road from my brother's house. Warrington seemed closer but it has dozens of bloomin' roundabouts!
