Bugaboo bee v. pliko switch

Really lusting after the Bee but think the Switch will be more practical, especially as you can get the Peg Perego version in a much prettier fabric for about £60 less.

DD is just 2 and have new baby due in July. Will be getting double at some point but am currently unable to push the Techno XT and I never liked it for a newborn anyway.

Any opinions?

i think the pliko switch just as it is far more practical and comfyier and imo alot nicer all in all i haev the pliko pramette and love it and the switch looks very nice aswell

i had a pliko + for my secomd child it was really light and compact and easy to fold i loved it so now for my third baby im looking at the pliko swich but i also prefer the fabric in the peg perego version and was wondering if you can also use the soft pram liner that is advertised with the mamas and papas version can any one help

lubyluby · 02/06/2008 15:33

hi, i would go for the switch, as popel already said much more practical, and nmicer for the baby. plus in answer to lyndraboons question you can get the liner to put in it to make it more prma like for a baby so you don;t need to worry abotu the harness rubbing their face.
the switch ahs a slightly bigger seat than the pliko and is vry handy to suem, being able to fold when its on the chassis facign either way and is just generally a more sturdy and practical feeling to the buggy.

i would eb reluctant to put a new baby in the bee, even using the nest as you still need the hrnaess to starp the baby n and it rubs against ther cheeks. its also ahrder to chaneg the seat unti around and can feel a bit flimsy to push.

the switchwill also in theory last until your baby is out of a buggy, whereas you may find your dd and the new bay will have outgrown the bee byt the time they are 2 .5 max.

The Pliko is a good choice but I would irrationally want the bee as it looks cool

Thanks lubyluby. I ended up getting the switch and I love it. Went and had a really good look at the bee, tried DD in it and the seat is definitely too small. The pliko seat is so nice and cushy, it's the only stroller DD will get into willingly!

Hi JoyS - just wondered if you got the M&P version or Peg Perego and if so which colour you went for? I love the look of this and am sooo tempted!!!

JoyS · 05/06/2008 14:36

Hi Yorkshiremum, I got the Peg version from amazon in Bambu, it's light green and charcoal. With shipping it was £338, came the day after I ordered it! I love it, I wish we'd had it all along.
