Hi guddy - My ds is 25 mo and he accidentally found one of his christmas gifts under my bed. I tried to hide it but he found it a second time. It was a train set so I decided to give it to him. I think I should of taken it back because he will not stop taking it apart. I keep putting it back together and then its all over the place. I finally gave up. I dont know if this is normal at this age but its driving me crazy.

ds1 has been playing with his Brio trains and set since the age of 18mo, he's now 25mo. He can put it all together himself, work the signal points, but has a little trouble with the "Sydney Harbour Suspension" bridge. It falls over frequently and requires Mummy to put together again.
One point though. If you have a big Tescos handy, check out their track. Its compatible with Brio but a third of the price. We buy the Brio trains (slighly more realistic and some are battery operated with sound effects.... v popular!) but Tesco track and road. It provides hours of entertainment.

Tesco have a battery powered engine too - very very annoying sound effects!

Ooh Soupdragon, do they? Havent seen them. I must go back and have another look.

IIRC it is about 5.99, and a lot cheaper than the brio version. It is red,and go forward or reverse and yes, it makes a very annoying noise. Ds love his!

This should be a link to the Tescos wooden railway page on their website. The powered train is indeed £5.99 although I thought I paid £3.99 when I bought one from a store in the summer.
