Was sold pram/ pushchair 3 wheeler thingy when i was pregnant. Never liked it (hubby choice) and when my baby was 5 months went out and bought a different one. When looking to sell it on ebay 22 months on from purchase, realise that instructions say not suitable for child under 6 months without an attachment (presumably a carrycot). the lady in the shop said it would be fine for a newborn if used a footmuff. i did even though it was heatwave at the time. Worried as put my baby in unsafe pram which i never liked for 5 months and then spent nearly £400 buying another one. Can i claim any money back / complain? it is a long time later. Obviously didn't see instruction book until bought product and then was 39 weeks pregnant so none too bright! Don't wnat it to happen to anyone else. What can i do?

it wasn't the mutsy was it by any chance cos we were told the same.

Think you'd struggle to prove it now. It is more about the seat incline(ie not lying flat) than an actual safety issue and sometimes recommendations change so what might have been deemed suitable at the time may not be recommended now and lots of people ignore them and use sooner. At least there is an alternative be it the carrycot or an infant seat attached to chassis, which the buyer could add.

the incline has to be between 170 and 180 degrees to be suitable from birth.

bizarrely it does lay totally flat, which is why i assumed it would be ok, but the instructions are adamant that it should be 6 months and up. it isn't very firm in terms of the base so perhaps not very supportive for a small baby's back/ neck? My husband liked it as it had disc brakes!
not a musty but herqules raptor 3 spin.

tbh I don't think there is anything you can do because it was so long ago.
you could try ringing trading standards and asking though, worth a try

is it foreign? i know many european countries have stricter standards to us as what can be classed as from newborn.
