not used them for clothes but they are very good for duvets

Dont go for the cheapest... you spend ages packing them, then you suck the air out and sit and watch it slowly refilling of its own accord because the seals are crap

The ones that Lakeland sell semm to work reasonably well

littlerach · 20/04/2008 08:58

Yes, they have a habit of refilling in the dead of night, then falling, and causing you to almost have heart failure.

they do work though (the lakeland ones)

I used them when we emigrated and had comedy amounts of clothes to fit into our suitcases - got loads more in by using them. It's quite astonishing watching it happen

Can anyone tell me if the clothes stored come out looking like the wrinkles are never going to iron out? Was thinking of using them when we (4 of us) go to Ireland for a family christening in May. I am too mean to pay for more than one piece of checked luggage on the plane so everyone's clothes need to fit into one suitacase which, in turn, needs to be small enough to go in the back of our hired Corsa. This would be a good idea if I don't have to spend all of Saturday night trying to get the creases out?

I have some - they work well.

I have some clothes that are way too small for me, that DD may like when she is older (ball gown type stuff).

MrsJohnCusack · 21/04/2008 00:11

annh - if you fold the clothes nice and neatly when you put them in, they won't get any more wrinkled and creased than that. i might put something on the top and bottom - a table cloth or something - as it's what's next to the actual plastic that may get creased IYSWIM

(rememeber it won't make the suitcase weigh less though )

Interested in what you say as my lakeland ones were rubbish. They refilled and then later on they ripped.
