Ride on toy for 1 year old

Can anyone suggest a ride on toy? We are browsing the internet for one for our DS who will be one soon.

When our DD was one she got a wheelie bug, which is lovely but not stable, the wheels go in all directions, so it was a while before she got much use out of it.

A friend has a Thomas ride on which looks much more stable and more suitable for a wobbly toddler.

Any suggestions?

Which one work well?

Many thanks!

we have both
ds now nearly 13 mths adores both he can push the thomas one and store things plus it is good for outside too
we also have a little tykes cosy coupe which ds2 pushes and plays with although he cannot drive it yet.

I would have a strong vote for the little tikes cosy coupe

gecko is 14 months now and she has bee loving it for the last 2 weeks

Now she can walk she just gets in and out of it constantly, gilgging when in it and turning the wheel and opening and shutting the door

she actually fights for it with dd2 who is 3

DS loved his little bike - the same as this, but I think you can possibly find it cheaper if you look around. It lasted him ages, and is still in excellent condition because we didn't let him take it outside (had a Little Tike car for that)

Thanks for the replies. We wondered about the coupe but think its a bit big for indoors as well as out. I think we might be putting more thought into this than our car!

I found it cheaper! lol

Is it stable? It looks lovely.

Does anyone's DC have one with a trailer? If so do they use it?

...the trailer bit I mean, or does it get abandoned and forgotten?

we have a little fifi car it was £8 from matalan, and its great,i would go for something simple, and sturdy.theres quite a few in argos.my lo likes the fact you can put things under the seat.
we also have a trike with a little trailer similar to the one you linked, but the trailer falls off easily and we've ended up hiding it as lo kept falling out with it!

TwoFirTrees - yes the Pintoys one is very stable, very solid indeed.

i would get a trike but make sure it has lockable steering and pedals to begin with.

ds has a car which was fine but at 22 months he is a bit too tall for it so it means when we go out and i am pushing it makes it difficult for me cos he keeps putting his feet on the floor.

also those coupe cars are good (the ones like the flinstones had) but don't get the one with a door - ds always tips it over trying to get out. something like this is ideal.
