Bouncer that bounces itself - does such a thing exist?

I have a non napping baby whom I can occassionally get to nap by bouncing her bouncer for as long as I can - if I stop, she wakes up - if I carry it on she sometimes has a good sleep.

With two others and a low patience for repetetive bouncing of said chair I wondered if there was such a thing as a bouncer than had automatic bounce function?

Our household would be very happy if you could suggest anything!

You can definitely get vibrating bouncers - I can't think of the makes though. Or you could do what my parents did and stick the carrycot/moses basket on top of the tumble dryer .

dont know about bouncers, what about swinging chair, would that do the trick? we had a fisher price one that swung on its own and it was the only thing that got dd to have a nap

does it actually automatically bounce up and down ledodgy? ours vibrates and bounces with her movement buut i have to tap my foot to rhythnmically bounce her up and down!

as for swing, have a gorgeous swing sitting lonely in the corner that she wont sleep in

i had the fisherprice swing,it was about £50 and was great,my dd fitted in it still at a yr(although she wouldnt sit in it) you can usually get them cheaper on ebay (graco ones are usually in the sale somewhere or another and are cheaper)
i sold it on for £30 when we were finished with it.

I swear by the Dream Machine!! I have a 13 month gap between my youngest & it's been an absolute godsend.

waytmi, does it really work then? even for a very resistent napper? will it work if pram has quite big back wheels?

Hi, I Couldn't get my then year old baby to sleep longer than 15 minutes during the day but with the Dream Machine I found he would sleep upto 3 hours!!

I could also control their naps by turning it off and within minutes they would wake up.

In the evening if they wouldn't sleep I'd use it. I had a Mamas & Papas Duette chassis with my newborn in a carrycot and DS2 in a lie flat seat unit.

If the back wheels are too wide you can use the front wheels or just one wheel.

I can't praise it enough!

Im so tempted

does it stop them settling themselves at bedtime and in the night? she is quite good at this now and im a bit worried i will spoil it!

Sorry couldn't answer that last nt, bed full of little ones teething (I think)

All I can say for sure is that my DS2 never slept in the day and now he does. Also he he always naps in his bed now.

My DD2 still always has her daytime nap in the buggy using the Dream Machine or would never sleep. She never sleeps in the car or if we go for a walk but if I switch this on it works!!

As for settling themselves at bedtime and in the night they never have so I wouldn't be able to say.

its here and it didnt work!

tried her in it once when i knew she was tired, she cried

put her on it when she was already asleep from car to keep her asleep, she woke up!

im really gutted!

Has always done the trick with mine and never hesitated to recommend it.

Maybe she just needs to get used to it [hopeful emotion]

Just to let you know that the dream machine has been a resounding failure!

She cries when I put it on!!

try a swinging chair. really, they love it

one mamas and papas bouncy chair has a battery operated thing on the front that vibrates or gently bounces, but ours never really bounced enough to get the baby off to sleep.

My god she is hardcore your little girl

Ethan likes his swinging chair too but not at the moment because we have run out of batteries
He kicks alot when he's trying to get to sleep so he manages to rock himself.
The car seat is good as its more curved. The rocker isnt as smooth I find.

I dont know what else to suggest for her

thanks nbg, nearly texted you before as i feel like im losing my mind but dont like to moan.

she has just had an overtired screaming fest that ended up me just sobbing for her to please just go to sleep.

took her for 2 hour walk this morning, she slept fitfully for 20 minutes. was still knackered when she woke up

then took her for a drive, slept for 20 minutes and woke up still with red eyebrows, rubbing eyes and yawning and nothing will get her back off.

this is utterly awful, im not enjoying her and starting to wonder what the fuck i do now?
