Help me decide which pram(s) to get!! Bee? Frog & Nipi? Am in a quandary

Ok, so DH saw the Bugaboo Bee in John Lewis last weekend and has got his heart set on it - so easy to push! so little! rear-facing! - what could be better?

But I know that there are concerns that it isn't big enough to last until DS no longer needs pushing around.

So the other option is to buy a second-hand Gecko or Frog, and a cheap buggy (M&P Nipi?) to keep in the car. DH probably thinks this is a bad idea as it still means having two when the Bee means just one, but would solve the size issue.

At the moment DS is 8mo and we don't have plans to have a second LO for a while yet, so getting the Bee could last us a little while, until DS grows out of it, and then we could rethink depending on whether another baby is on the way. Could keep Bee with a buggy board, or swap for a P&T or something.

I guess it comes down to whether we want this to be our last pram purchasing or whether we don't mind selling the Bee at a later date. The cost of buying a new Bee is the same as a secondhand Frog AND a Nipi.

Any opinions? I know this is a bit absurd.

I'm having the exact same dilemma (is a Bee ideal for a winter newborn - no carrycot? It looks so flimsy as a pram for my pfb!) but one thing I'm bearing in mind is a new Bee will have a far higher resale value on Ebay than a discontinued Frog. When calculating cost, it's probably worth bearing that in mind. You'd get about 2/3 back, whereas the Frog might be harder and harder to sell for a good price, now you can't get spare parts or any post-sale support at all.

Hi - we have the chance to buy a 2nd hand Bugaboo Frog for £250, complete with cosy, carrycot, and a car seat. We live in a flat thought so we'd like something small and easy to get up and down stairs, so through the newer (more expensive) Bee might be better.

Has anyone got experience of both - and if so, what do they think is most suitable for a new born?

I had a FRog first time around and it was lovely. But on balance I think I am happier witht the Bee. I use it when out with my 3 dc. Either my baby is in it or is in her sling with her slightly taller than average 2.5 year old sister sitting or sleeping in the Bee. They both love it. It has worked really well. I like the fact that when it lies back it's flat- unlike the frog/cham where the seat shape stays rigid. This is on top of all the folds flat, easy to push, lightweight etc. advantages.
HTH.

And I just bought the footmuff, not the cocoon thingy because I knew I'd be swapping the children about when out, and it has been fab.
