We are urban with no car.

Neither - looked at both and then decided on loola - far better, folds without having to take the seat off rear and forward facing.

I have the inifity, love it (and you can fold it with the seat on.......) (well at least I've managed to)

Lionstar · 10/04/2008 15:00

Have the icandy cherry - positives: very light & nippy, seat can face parent (still use it this way at 13 months), liked the carrycot for early months, big and accessible shopping basket, cheaper than similar systems (bugaboo etc)

negatives: Seat comes off to fold - thought this wouldn't be an issue as use a car, but in fact does piss me off sometimes (though being light is easy to get bits out of car). Have had problems with the front wheels going a bit 'sticky' (as have others) - though the shop was happy to replace them. Seat unit is a bit hard - but bought the fleece insert which makes it soft and cosy (also got the cosy toes for winter). Comes with Maxi Cosi adapters which was great, but found it difficult to get car seat off chassis alone (especially as trying to lift you precious bundle at the time), though in reality didn't use it in this way often as not meant to leave them in car seat for long.

There is no prefect pram out there that ticks all the boxes!

Neither, get the Loola instead, the new Loola Up looks fab and is easy to fold and folds down small

apple is great with carrycot
Hideous with seat unit absolute shite to fold

Found the loola too wide as well and a sod to push rear facing.

Pannacotta · 10/04/2008 15:05

Piffle I found the Loola fine to push rear facing, though not after a year or so, by my DS was very heavy.
Also the carrycot for the Loola is great, really cosy and comfortable.

jennifersofia · 10/04/2008 15:05

hmmm thanks for advice. Just put a bid on a hauck, don't know if I will get it.
I need a single bar handle because of wrist probs., which is why I didn't go for loola.

yeah but then I've got a bugaboo as well and its very easy to push
Wrist and pelvic/hip/back problems here

Pannacotta · 10/04/2008 15:12

js the new Loola, the "Loola Up" has a single handle bar, check my link above.

Piffle yes the Bugaboo is the lightest of all, I have a Frog which is great, also js it would be ideal if you dont have to fold it as its a bugger to open and close.

I was going to get a Hauck and then found out from two different independent baby stores that Hauck were very unreliable and the pushchairs usually had problems which Hauck were notoriously rubbish at sorting out

mrspnut · 10/04/2008 15:49

I had a Hauck Infinity and it was a fantastic pushchair.

light to push, easy to steer and even when I got a flat tyre I could still manage to push it the 4 miles home.

I used my Hauck all the way through my moonwalk training last year so it had some serious mileage on it yet the wheels still looked like new when I sold it last month.

I have a Loola now (thanks Piffle ) and I do like it but it is very heavy to steer and manoeuvre up and down kerbs.
It's also quite heavy to lift in and out of the car.

SparklyGothKat · 10/04/2008 15:52

I have a Cherry and love it. I like the way you can forward/rear face the seat. It is a pain that you have to separate the buggy to fold it, but it is light. I have just got a carrycot for it, for when we are at the hospital next month with Ds1 so that Ds2 can sleep in it for naps during the day.

andyrobo237 · 10/04/2008 20:39

I too love my Cherry - but again it can be a pain with a 14mo baby - getting it in and out of the car in the two pieces - I too had the wheel problem, but it is soooo light and easy to push even with a full shopping load. I did find the carrycot was outgrown at 5 months, and he looked a bit of a dot in the seat unit, but we managed! I have the footmuff as well which is lovely and cosy, and want a seat liner for the warmer months to make it more comfy!

I did have a loola and found it hard to push - my wrists used to get tired easily, and the cross bar under the seat made access to the shopping basket difficult.

sazm · 10/04/2008 20:47

i nearly bought a cherry, but changed my mind as it wasnt sturdy enough for me.
i bought a nurse hello which is similar, but much more sturdy, and has great suspension.

jennifersofia · 10/04/2008 22:59

thanks for all the feedback - I did win the bid on the hauck, so will see how I get on.
