I am 24 weeks pregnant with my third. I carried my last baby in a ring sling all the time and plan to do so again this time. However, last time I was pushing ds1 in a pushchair at the same time, so bag went on that. This time there will be no pushchair so I need to get the right type of bag to carrry.
Currently, I just use a small handbag size messenger bag from this site: one cool chick if we are on short trips where I don't need much with me. When on day trips with packed lunch, drinks etc, I use a standard back pack to distribute the weight.
Sooooo.....if I get a larger messenger bag to put on the opposite shoulder to baby, will this be too heavy? Or will the weight balance each other? Would I be better off with a backpack? Though someone told me you can't use a backpack with a ringsling.
Any thoughts? If it helps the advice, I homeschool my children (who will be aged 7 and 4 when this one is born) and live in central london so we are out and about a lot and often need a packed lunch etc with us.
