I'm looking for an air resistance rowing machine, but there seem to be so many out here to choose from.

Can anyone recommend or advise against any?

we have one of these:
321 Concept

It is a bike/ rowing machine and good value - we paid £250. Plus, it can be folded up small.

Depends on your budget though. Have also looked at these; my brother has one, and they are very good, but take up a lot of room.

and the ones that Sir Steve Redgrave used www.concept2.co.uk/

Concept2 are brilliant if you have a huge pile of money and space to spare!

The 321concept one looks great - although the lady sitting on it seems to be in a much more upright position than I would expect on a rowing machine - is that so it can fold up so small

Personally I cant stand water rowers - the noise of rushing water, kind of makes a person want to go to the loo!

I have a concept 2 - I am an ex-rower trying to get slim again....it is quite bog though. Mine os really old now but still works and has suffered much abuse at the hands of rowers.

which I meant to say (sorry am breast feeding at the mo) was you can get them second hand.

We have a concept2, dh rowed a lot when he was younger and insisted on a concept2. We bought it from ebay (was still pricey in my opinion, but I'm not a rower ) It's still going strong miles and miles later.

Yes.
Don't buy one.
It wil sit in garage and gather dust.

Go to the gym instead.

Thanks for the suggestions. Concept 2 sounds ideal, but we can't afford it. Don't really want to spend more than £150 (we're happy to get a 2nd hand one from Ebay).

I like the idea of the bike/rower, but DH says no (he used to be a proper rower, so he's a bit purist).

Moondog - I'd much prefer to go to a gym, but we're too skint! I've been running quite a bit recently, but just want a bit of variety (and DH's fave exercise is rowing).
