preferably one that's sold in John Lewis so when I go shopping next Saturday with my BF I can have a look at it (before her DH buys it on his trade account at massively discounted price from an electrical wholesaler)

OK so I've probably gone mad wanting it to be on that's available in John Lewis, but I wanted to buy one from their, at least to choose one in their, and then my BF said that her DH could use his trade account (he's an electrician). He's never been able to use for anything big, as you have to pay in full (which I now can).

Really need a shortlist of 2/3 incase the "one" I like isn't in his catalogue.....

meggle - it has not done it to me, apart from when I forgot to turn it on once and went out, came back thought for a second it was broken ROFL! . I dont know why I am afraid . What tablets do you use?

Don't ever buy Diplomat. It's MFI's own brand and we have had the misfortune to buy two houses in a row with diplomat dishwashers. They are crap!

Another vote for Miele here.
The top cultlery tray is great for safety so no sharp knives sticking up and the one I have has a child safety lock as well.
