I had a go on one of these at The Ideal Home Exhibition Show and wondered what other people make of them and if you've used one, does it work.

I was on it for about 15 minutes and I was knackered and sweating. My legs and tummy were like jelly when I got off.

For anyone who doesn't know what I am on about ..

have a look here.

I'm tempted to get one on trial but they are expensive and I don't want to waste my hard saved money if it's just a glorified gadget.

i looked at this a while ago, and thought they looked odd.

I think they are pretty good. When I was horse riding I was really toned, so the idea of it works. And any exercise sitting down has got to be good

Crap. If you want exercise for your core muscles buy a flexi bar I lost 3 inches off my waist in the first 6 weeks of using it

Prufrock - Thanks for the link, it looks really good but I'm not sure about the vibration sensation. I suffer with a form of vertigo sometimes which means I get a bit giddy if there is movement around me such as trees blowing in the wind, clouds moving etc.

Does the vibration make your head buzz ? I love the idea of the Pilate package as I've recently lost my class but want to carry on with Pilates in some form.

I have to strengthen my core as I have a loose ligament problem around my pelvis and lower back and the flexi bar looks a really good option.

Will just have to watch the ornaments and small children eh ?

I saw them at the Grand Design show Tillyboo, and thought they looked really good. Didn't get chance to try one, because of the crowds around them! I like the idea of being able to sit on something exercising, whilst I watch Corrie!

No, no vibration sensation like that - it's more that the vibration travels up your arms and then into your spine, so if you don't keep everything pulled in you wobble around. But no buzzing - the only vibration is the one you make my gripping and wobbling. Are there any classes near you you could try out?

Thx Prufrock, I think you've sold it too me. I have at least a stone to lose in flob so hopefully this'll help me get rid of some of it.
