Don't want a wooden one as way too expensive.
Cheapest plastic one I can find is ELC, which is £30.00 + sand.

All pickup only on ebay, and nowhere near where I live.

I am in North London and have an old one that is perfectly useable, if you are anywhere near me. I would always recommend the sand and water table rather than something they can climb into - much more manageable and they don't get nearly as much sand in their knickers.

yes it was just the same as that one nappyaddict,

this is the one we are going for this year:here

nappyaddict · 06/04/2008 15:47

did it fall apart cos the rain made it rotten or just cos it was bad quality?

bad quality i would say,but also a silly design.
the sides all just slot together they dont actually screw or bolt anywhere, everytime lo got in or out it moved around.
it came with a ground sheet to put down then put the pit on top of,but there was about 1cm at each edge where the sandpit sat,so when the sheet moved the sand all went onto the grass and soaked moisture up from there too,
we had a friend who made us a wooden base and got it all screwed together last summer, but it still kept falling apart, maybe just as its a couple of years old now.
we thought we'd be better spending £50 on one like that, which we thought would last years,
hopefully the table one will last better, and we actually found it MUCH better having a table sandpit rather than one they actually go in.
