Okay, so i've trawled through the archives, and it's not looking good for VENTURE... anyone got any positive stories? I really want to go!

Been given a session as a gift (I think it's the £25 inc. one free 7 x 5 and I'd like to give it a shot... are they really going to take us for every penny we've got, or is it fairly easy to take the freebie and run, or better still, haggle on the more expensive offers?

Wow thirty miles away is abit of a trek! I guess you'll probably have to do it purely so you can show your friend who gave you the gift the photo. I know exactly what your DH is on about as regards the noodles! How hilarious.

OK I HAVE A POSITIVE STORY!!!

We went. It was fun... but I am glad I had done my research first and knew what I was in for when it came to the viewing... Needless to say they had put all the very best pics in the very expensive formats... I just kept saying, "but that one can be done as a 10x8 or a 5x7 yes?" He was a bit "the computer says no" about it.. but luckily for us, the "computer said yes" [he looked a bit taken aback that it did!]

So we got 2 really nice family portraits in 10x8... it came to about £150 (and that is including the frames)

I KNOW it can be done cheaper, but we would never get round to organising it and we had been given the voucher as a gift so felt obliged to use it. They were very accomodating and did the shoot and viewing on the same day. I didn't feel fleeced, but it was good to go knowing about previous horror stories!
