because i gave a lot of my stuff away or sold it.

how many sleepsuits/vests? cardiagans? socks, can you get those lovely baby nightgowns anywhere now? dd3 had laods as i picked them up for 50p-£1 each in the mothercare sale.

blankets?

i need a carrycot + stand, already have the buggy.

need a buggyboard for dd3.

wont need bottles etc, still have breastpump about somewhere.

i know i have a long way to go, but want to get things sorted soon after 12 week scan, to spread the cost.

I think I had abou t6 sllepsuits and 6 vests. 3 cardies? Are you using a sleeping bag? If so, just get buggy blankets and fitted sheets for the cot.
[still thinking emoticon]

chickytwotimes · 19/03/2008 14:39

scratchmitts
6 pairs of socks?

chickytwotimes · 19/03/2008 14:39

oh, and hats - those lovely little cloth ones.

misdee · 19/03/2008 14:41

oh yes, forgot about hats [adds to list]

i need to get into the loft and sort out the baby clothes i do still have up there, but dont have a clue on whats up there.

sleeping bag were great, so will hunt some out again.

my sister has my cot, so will have to pinch that back at sme point, but not for a while yet.

mothercare sleepsuits and next are really good because they have built in scratch mittens. More expensive but worth the extra cost.

I think i would say the same as two times.
6 newborn vests
6 sleepsuits
1 snow suits possibly
I have around 5 blankets/grow bags because they often get sicked on.
10 pack of bibs the ones with poppers are def best, m&s bibs lovely and wash really well.
5 pairs of socks
Then just buy the 0-3 month stuff as you go along no doubt you'll get some lovely presents.

chickytwotimes · 19/03/2008 14:47

Oh, yes, the bibs - so handy! And the muslin cloths.

chickytwotimes · 19/03/2008 14:48

And Matalan have cheap sleep suits with built in gloves too, btw.

readytoswiggin · 19/03/2008 14:48

Muslins to mop up!!!

would advise trying someone else's buggy board first, I know so many people who have them but either they or their child didn't get on with it.

Changing mats?

Agree with chicky: 6 of each vests, sleepsuits and cardis. pramsuit if winter baby. hat. never bothered with scratchmitts.

Necessities

Nappies.
Vests
babygrows
Coat
Hat
Car seat
Pram/sling
Bed and bedding
Muslins
Bibs
Flannels are handy for all sorts.

How many weeks are you?

Squiffy · 19/03/2008 14:49

Misdee, if you don't mind second-hand, I am bang in the middle of packing stuff up for an NCT sale and had just decided to only sell big stuff, and not bother with clothes/sleepsuits (ironing/packing up/pricing all just too much faff). I would be happy to pack up and send you a fullish set of stuff if you want (either pink or blue). M&S stuff, bit of Next, bit of Mothercare. Also have lots of blankets & a few grobags, and a buggyboard too.

3NAB · 19/03/2008 14:50

Have you looked on here, I am sure there are lots of people selling baby things.

misdee · 19/03/2008 14:56

thanks squiffy but i have a long way to go, i only tested positiive last week. am trying to not get anything until lafter the 12 weeks scan.

just making a wishlist really now, so i can refer to it. i did tell dh to buy some socks earlier, but he said no, not yet lol..
