Does Your Baby Keep His Gloves On?

My ds thinks it is very funny to pull off his gloves, then he gets cold and starts to cry. I put them on, he takes them off and so we keep going round in this merry circle. Apart from socks, anyone got any bright ideas?

Same here, I spend every trip out constantly putting dd's hat and gloves back on and putting her feet back in her cosytoes. She seems to find it funny!

No, mine doesn't even keep socks on. I don't even bother putting them on anymore

no, am constantly retracing steps around town, -not good at this busy time of year- in an attempt to find ds recently discarded gloves. any one any solutions to problem. socks work, but they soon figure them out no matter how far up thier arm you pull them!.

I could see all these old people looking at me in the bus queue as if to say "tut tut tut"

Hates gloves but will wear socks on his hands.

I am off now to collect a parcel from the Post Office. Will need to pass the bus queue again, and dd (6) has taken to wearing antlers and I have to wear a Santa hat!! Ah well bless her nearly Christmas and all that....

I had the same problem with dd pulling off mittens. My mum thinks I am crazy but I have used a strap from a multiway bra and attached the mittens through the back of her coat to this.
It has worked with her althought she got a bit frustrated at first but now does not seem bothered. My dd was also one of those that though it was hilarious to pull her socks off and throw them away..... hahahaha. So now we cannot go out without tights or either some soft shoes on. They can be so crafty.

socks - the trick is to put them on first, up to the elbow, them put on their jumper, or whatever, then the coat....by the time they've got em off you are back home

Ds was the world's worst. Would get gloves or mittens off in seconds and then be screaming in pain because he was so cold. Then he would scream indoors as his hands warmed up.

Eventually I bought some men's long thermal socks (in the same navy as his coat so didn't look TOO odd) and put them on OVER his sleeves right up to the shoulders. He could still get them off sometimes but it took him ages. If it was really cold I could still put the mittens on underneath.

My youngest did this until today. It was so cold that she actually put on one glove herself and wanted me to put the other one on!!

If you use mitten clips at least you don't lose them and get so many bad-mother looks from passers by!

Good idea about the socks though for actually keeping them warm.
