Do I really have to change dummy type?

Now I've got over my guilt of using a dummy I'm a convert! Trouble is ds is 11 months and have just realised the orthodontic tommy tippee ones hes using are supposed to be for 0-6 months?

Is there a health/ developmental reason I should change or is it just a marketing ploy?

Thanks

the only difference is probably the size of the teat so if he manages to hang onto the one he currently has then sticking to that one should be fine.

p.s. actually the shield itself might be bigger too and be less of a swallowing hazard then the smaller 0-6 month size.

My son just turned 2 still has the 0-6 month dummies, Has never had a prob even though he doesnt suck them ( very odd has half the shield in his mouth and sorts of licks them)

At least you have him on the orthodontic ones DS will only have latex cherry end!!!

I truly believe it is a marketing ploy.

I will be strong and wean him off them, but he only has it for sleeping and I have bigger battles to fight at the mo!
