I need one with a twin screen. Though only problem is DD is rear facing and is likely to be for another few years. So need the cabling to stretch to one front facing, one rear facing IYSWIM.

Any recommendations?

I can't recommend this company highly enough. We have had two of their systems over the years and their customer service is excellent, their products really high quiality.

We bought one from argos - Wharfedale 8" twin screen reduced in sale from £160 to £79.99. Plays all types of dvd's. Cabling shouldn't be a problem as long as rear facing is in the front and forward facing is in the back seat behind them. If they're both in the back seat you may have problems!

we got one a couple of weeks ago and it is the bast thing ever for long journeys.

they're both in the back seat - we have a front airbag so can't put DD in there.

I'm sorry - but I don't think that your DD needs to see ATM it if she is only 12m. by the time she will be entertained by it she will(?) surely be forward facing.

We plan to keep her rear facing until she's 4. And she loves the TV :-) Very little entertains her in the car and on a long journey it's probably what we need.

Blimey I didn't know you could get rear facing seats over a year or so-where do they puit their legs [puzzled emoticon]

It's a bit of a thing with me at the moment... children in Sweden (for example) are in rear facing seats until around age 4 as they are significantly safer. Britax and Maxi Cosi (amongst others) do seats that are rear facing, but they're either not sold, or not readily available in the UK. They are generally marketed as 'special needs' seats. I was planning to switch DD forward facing as she's such a grouch, but since I've seen some crash test videos I've been investigating rear facing group 1 seats. The seats sit away from the seat back a bit for their legs. Mind you, both my two are really short so it wouldn't be much of a problem lol.

In car safety centre (can't think of web address off top of head) sell some under the special needs bit of their website and you can see pictures there I think. Or volvo have some on their site too. I believe which? are testing a graco one in their next tests so it'll be interesting to see how it gets on.
